Chinenye Emezie obtained undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in Public Administration, Creative Writing, and Communications. Her short stories and essays appear in anthologies and literary journals.

 

Chinenye is a 2013 winner of the Africa Book Club short story competition and an alumna of the prestigious Hedgebrook Vortex Writers Workshop, Whidbey Island, USA.

 

In 2018, her award winning short story was selected as a recurring semester course study material (which includes a theatre production) at the Centre for Theatre and Performance (CTAP) of the Department of Dramatic Arts, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.

 

Her debut novel GLASS HOUSE was published in October, 2021 by Penguin Random House Pty.

 

Summer 2024, BORN IN A HOUSE OF GLASS was launched to the North American audience.

 

Chinenye lives in Toronto, Canada with her family.
